Recruitment

What we do

Most of you will know us as the place that provides drivers with an updated tax disc for their vehicle. But we’re much more than that. We support law enforcement by maintaining an up to date register of drivers and vehicles. We also help deliver a wide range of road safety initiatives in conjunction with the DfT, for which we’re an executive agency. As part of the parliamentary structure, we’re accountable to you, the general public, so all our activities are governed by the higher quality standards. We play a major role in crime prevention and crime reduction through enforcement, prosecution and intelligence gathering. Our customers include the public, vehicle dealers, traders in personalised number plates and vehicle importers and our partners and stakeholders are police forces, magistrates and civil courts, motor trade associations etc.

Operating from our HQ in Swansea and 39 local offices, 12 enforcement centres and unlicensed vehicle hotline centre spread across GB, we employ over 7,000 staff.

The Agency is highly regarded as an efficient and well respected organisation and has been awarded the Charter Mark Standard for the fourth successive time. It is also accredited as an Investor in People organisation. It is a place where you’ll be proud to work.
